Haitian Metal Art
So you want more metal art from Haiti?
You will find our recycled metal sculptures along with fabulous folk art from Guatemala, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, and beyond! Our website gives you the greatest selection available, with the benefit of access to our entire inventory. Additionally, you trade directly with us to procure these treasures. Not a bad way to go!
Having said that, we have other avenues at your disposal to which I am only to happy enough to direct you. It may seem strange that I would do so, but the bottom line is: Whether you buy at a retail show we are attending, on our website, or on our other platforms we collaborate with, you are participating in our practice of Fair Trade and directly supporting the artist that made your piece.
Etsy.com
To buy our metal art on etsy.com, simple type all one word “artunderthetree” in the search box at the top of the home page. Art Under the Tree is a specially designated collaborative effort with local Haitians to teach business skills and exchange ideas. The name, Art Under the Tree, was suggested by the artists themselves. While they often have physical structures which they use as workshops, during the hot summer months, it is cooler and breezier to produce their art under the tree!
Amazon.com
You have access to many of our designs on amazon.com. In fact, many selections are now available on Prime, which of course means quick and free shipping! To find us type “It’s Cactus – metal art Haiti” in the search bar at the top of the home page. Easy as pie, no matter how you slice it!
Bottom line for us, Amazon gives the artists a broader market, which means the most sales to the individual artists - ***especially when stars are attached***
