Magical realism is a school of Ecuadorian painting whose founder and major proponent was the painter Gonzalo Endara Crow (1936-1996). The artist paints in the style of Endara Crow, and many of his paintings reflect themes taken from Latin American expression of the paradoxes of everyday reality.
