Emilia Garcia was born in Los Angeles, California. She was mainly raised by her grandparents while her parents worked to provide. Emilia centers the majority of her work around the beauty of the Chicana, Mexicana, and Indigenous cultures. She attributes getting inspiration from many Mexican artists, but attributes most of her inspiration to her grandmother's love and presence within her. Emilia's work has been exhibited worldwide and has been published in textbooks, art books, magazines and more.
