Jean Anderson Bellony, born March 13, 1970, grew up in the village of Noailles in Croix-des-Bouquets.
At the age of fifteen, Michel Brutus introduced him to sculpture. He has notably participated in several group exhibitions at the Georges Liautaud Community Museum and at the Institut Français d'Haïti.
Bellony inherited a voodoo sanctuary which was restored by the AfricAméricA Foundation, as part of the Prince Claus Foundation's Cultural Emergency Response Program (CER) in 2009.
Tuesday, October 12, heavily armed men from the "400 mawozo" gang again sowed terror in the artisanal village of Noailles (Croix-des-Bouquets), known for its cut metal works.
Burst of automatic weapon sowing panic, vandalism of artists' shops, these lawless individuals attacked the residence of the well-known sculptor Anderson Belony, one of the oldest voodoo shrines and family heritage in the village, with paintings in particular murals from the 50s.
